  1. Appointments

diary_appointmentConsultations are by appointment and can be booked in person at the surgery or by telephone during opening hours.

You can also BOOK APPOINTMENTS ON-LINE, via Patient Access ( you are required to register for this service).

To Register for this service - please ask for your registration details at Reception.  Registration details are valid for a period of 28 days.  If you do not register within this time - you must request new registration details.

*Once you register for this service, you can access appointments via the Appointments Icon on the Home Page.*

Only GP appointments can be booked on-line.  For nurse appointments you must contact the surgery.

You will normally be offered an appointment within 48 hours, however, if you ask to see a particular doctor you may have to wait longer.

Urgent Appointments

Please telephone the surgery as soon as possible after 08:30 so that an urgent appointment can be made for that day.

Every day, a duty doctor is available for emergency calls between 08:00 - 18:00. Please call the surgery for contact details.

Telephone Access

To speak to a doctor please telephone the surgery between 11:30 - 12:00. If the person you wish to speak to is unavailable you will be advised of a suitable time to call back.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Nurse appointments cannot be booked via the Online Service

Nurse Practitioner

A Nurse Pracitioner is an experienced specialist nurse who is able to examine, diagnose and prescribe for some of the most common conditions in General Practice. It may be more appropriate to see the Nurse Practitioner than a GP.  The receptionists are able to confirm conditions that are suitable to be seen by the Nurse Practitoner.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.  If you are registered for Patient Acces, you can cancel your appointments on-line.
